The Kite Mural was created and installed by Providence CityArts. CityArts is a community arts organization, serving 1500 urban at-risk youth. The organization’s mission is based on the ideal that all children need quality arts learning in their development and childhood, and that teaching artists can be inspiring agents of social change in young people’s lives. The mural installation was a group project led by teaching artists Deb DeMarco and Juliette Casselman, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. It an be found in the Kennedy Plaza Skating Rink Tunnel.
